I Keep Having This Dream App Reviews

Great!

Awesome game, easy learning curve but it gets hard or impossible to proceed real fast.

I keep playing this game

Like Dungeon Raid before it, Dream has that "just one more" quality that will keep you playing for hours. Its a really interesting little puzzle RPG number cruncher thingie! The music is excellent, too. Any chance of an album release on iTunes?

Fun, confusing and hard core

Really fun and challenging but could get difficult real soon because the tutorial didnt do a good job at explaining the mechanic of this game. By the time I get to world 6 (on Normal) its pretty much impossible to complete because enemies get exponentially harder to beat while the protagonists strength only grows linearly. Some bosses are also absurdly hard to kill in later world due to their ability combined with their monstrous stat, which make this game quite a bit of luck based. Unlocking new faces also doesnt seem to add much to the game other than wasting keys. Overall, I like this game and its novel ideas (I love Dungeon Raid too). But imo enemies design could use some tweaks.

Meh

The tutorial was definitely lacking all of the mechanics like someone else mentioned. Interesting concept and only 2.50$, so not bad. Not great either

Cool, but not quite there.

Unique concept. Music is great! The game seems simple, but after 6 plays, I still dont really understand how it works. Tutorial was unclear, and it feels uncomfortable to be punished for defeating bosses. There feels like little reward for a lot of work.

Great game!

But gets extremely hard after second or third world in normal difficulty, some time it just seems impossible to reach next level. Hope that you can decrease the difficulty or give some other elements to help the character with the key we earn.

Sigh

The concept is neat and the polish is good, but the game fails to be compelling unless you like beating your head against the wall. There’s no long-term advancement; you start the same way every time. The rewards are cosmetic at best. There’s no clear way to get better at this game. You get the tiles you get, and what possible strategy can you employ? Is easy actually any easier than normal? How is it the first play through is still my highest score? The end-game is fixed, and there’s no reason to come back. I’ve had the game less than 24 hours and I think I’ll be deleting it when I’m finished this review.

Very challenging

Nice game! I hope to have more features in future :)

Excellent

A long overdue follow up to the iOS classic, Dungeon Raid, that lives up to the standard set by its predecessor.

Wow.

Trippy boardgame/roguelike/??? Its pretty neat, laying tiles, fighting off things and learning more and more about what the heck is going on with each game...

LOVE IT!

I’ve only spent a few hours with it, but it has that same “GREAT” vibe that Dungeon Raid had, and it’s a completely different type of game. This developer is someone to watch . . smart smart people.

Beautiful game, lots of potential - do not buy

Needs a lot of balancing before it is playable. It is not fun in its current state. Enemies scale up much more quickly than your stats, and are drawn at a much more frequent rate. The special enemies are interesting and unique, but again you will struggle to kill them. The levels also become way too large too quickly - the first level is 50 and the second is twice as large.

Way too hard

Theres no balance because it overwhelms you with enemies and gives very little stat items to combat them. Creative yes, but a frustrating experience with little reward to motivate you to keep playing. Save your $2 and get something else.

Potential but needs work

Bought despite all the reviews saying the scaling because of all the mentions of dungeon raid (my all time favorite app.) but sadly its as the other reviews say, great game, massive potential but it doesnt scale and it gets impossible way to fast.

You can find better time killers

Buy this if you like games that make you feel like you need to be punished.

I wish this would have been fun

it wasnt

!!! Please update Dungeon Raid!!!

I would pay for the game over again just to have an updated version of it best game ever is game is cool too, but its not Dungeon Raid.

Great game, I dig it BUT

This game is challenging & like it a lot! The developers have a lot to be proud of here! But it does one thing in terms of achievements that grinds my nerves. Youre given the option to unlock new player heads whenever you get a high score. All the new player heads Ive unlocked have been male. Ive got 6 male faces & just the 1 lonely little standard issue female face. Like I get that theyre probably unlocking at random & Im not saying theres any intentional weirdness going on, but it would maybe be nice to have the option to pick which heads unlock (assuming there are more female options available) instead of just having to cross your fingers & hope that the one you get matches your gender preference. Otherwise the game is rad & Im totally hooked.

Absolutely Phenomenal

This is a great puzzle style game, similar to a match 3 RPG mashup, but instead of match 3 youre laying tiles to make a path. It is certainly a difficult game, but repeated plays have shown a lot of depth and variability in strategy, making incremental improvements on the leaderboard quite satisfying. Strongly recommended.

Doesnt live up to Dungeon Raid

Pacing is tuned such that the game becomes boring quickly. Complexity is also very high.
